The first thing one might notice upon arriving in Flint, Michigan, is the Center For Hope being demolished. There are certainly societal and economic problems, but also positive signs of healing, from the Flint Institute of Arts to the Edible Flint Demonstration Garden and the Flint Farmers’ Market.
